In recent years, Coastal Hospice & Palliative Care has provided more than $500,000 in charity care each year. Patients who have no means to pay for care and those whose insurance does not cover the cost still need Hospice services. We are still there for them. Patients come first, and we will meet their needs with the support of our donors. If you would like to support the mission of Coastal Hospice, you have a variety of options ranging from bequests to monthly gifts.
Name a Room
Help us build and sustain the hospice home that will serve our most vulnerable hospice patients of the Lower Shore. Leave a legacy that will impact your neighbors now and in the future. Name a room after a loved one, a cause, or your familiy.
Cash Gifts: Donations by check or credit card are gratefully accepted. Please mail your check to us at: Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1722 or donate online at StansellHouse.org.
Families sometimes ask how they can include Coastal Hospice in their estate plan. This kindness benefits many of our community’s most vulnerable. We are deeply grateful for such consideration.
Bequests: A bequest gift to Coastal Hospice is fairly easy to make and can be as specific as a precise amount or a portion of your estate or conditional, depending on your goals. On the following pages, you will find statements phrased to meet a variety of situations. They have been approved by an attorney on behalf of Coastal Hospice. Click here to view our brochure on Bequest Gifts.
Life Insurance: A donor may designate Coastal Hospice as the beneficiary and owner of a life insurance policy. Upon the death of the insured, Coastal Hospice will receive the face amount of the policy.
Securities: You may choose to donate securities (stocks, bonds, etc.). Generally, you can deduct the fair market value of the gift and avoid capital gains tax liability.
